Streams Learning Hub CIC Privacy Notice
At Streams Learning Hub CIC (referred to as "the Hub"), we highly value the privacy of the young people attending the Hub, as well as the privacy of their parents or carers. The personal information that we collect about you and your learner is utilised to provide appropriate care, maintain our services, and facilitate effective communication. Our legal basis for processing the personal information relating to you and your child is to fulfill our contractual obligations.
Any information you provide is treated with utmost security. Data that is no longer needed* is erased after your child has ceased attending our Hub.
We will use the contact details you provide to get in touch with you via phone, email, social media, and post. This allows us to share pertinent information about your learner, updates about the Hub, relevant news, and also to discuss payment of our fees.
We will only share personal information about you or your learner with another organisation if we:
- Have a safeguarding concern about your child.
- Are required to do so by government bodies or law enforcement agencies.
- Engage a supplier to process data on our behalf (e.g., for online bookings or issuing invoices).
- Have obtained your prior permission.
You have the right to request access to the data we hold about yourself or your child and to request corrections for any errors. All such requests will be addressed within one month. You can also request data deletion. However, please note that:
- We won’t be able to continue supporting your child at the Hub without sufficient information about them.
- Even after your child is no longer a member of the Hub, certain types of data need to be retained for specific periods of time* due to statutory obligations, so immediate deletion isn't always possible.
If you have concerns about how we have safeguarded your information or our response to your data access, update, or erasure requests, you can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
*Please note that certain types of data (such as records of complaints, accidents, and attendance) must be retained for defined periods after your child ceases to attend our Hub. However, we delete as much personal data as feasible as soon as possible.
